Test week coming up!

Our first pathology test is Monday! Remember, path has 3 test instead of the normal 2, but also 13 freaking credits! We have been studying out butts off. Literally, I didn't have much butt to start with and now there is nothing left! Shiloh is so over path, she says, "path is stupid." Also, Micro test is Friday; we have 3 1/2 days to cram all of that stuff in after path. Don't forget, Shiloh will be 2 years old on April 1st. Maybe we should play a trick on her, and give her a bath for her birthday! Also, on April 2nd, we are having pictures made. There is a lady on the island (her husband is in medical school, 5th termer) and she is a photographer. Here is her website. pictures She has never taken photos with dogs, so this will be fun! We both miss 2nd term, when we were only concerned with whether we would make an A or a B. Now, we are not sure what to expect, but we have to get though 4th term, and it is really interesting, but I often feel I don't have time to really enjoy it, because there are so many details to memorize. And labs to go to. Oh, a Subway opened up on campus about 2 weeks ago! So freakin happy! This is all I have to say.
Ok, back to studying, hope everyone is enjoying your blackberry winter!

Labs more labs and concept maps!

These are the longest days of my life! Schedule: 9-12 lecture M-F, usually 1 day starts at 8. M-Th path lab is from 1-2:45. On Tuesday and Thursday we also have CPD from 3-4:45. Also on Tuesday and Thursday we have Medical Spanish selective from noon - 1. So yes, Tuesdays and Thursday go from 9-5 without a break. We are allowed to eat in Spanish, thankfully! During path lab, we have slide that we have to present to our group, so you have to prepare to present your slide and make a handout about it that you must print out for everyone (14 people). So I usually end up presenting from 2-3 slides a week. I am tired all ready. But what is weird, is I really like the class. We are basically forced to work well as a group, and we spend most of our waking time and some of our sleeping time thinking about pathology. On the other hand, Microbiology is boring! I have to force myself to study it, and I am finding it hard to not get behind in Micro. I am going to dedicate all day Friday just to Micro, so hopefully I can memorize all the little bugs in a day. It already seems like I have been in 4th term for months, but it has just started. So, first test are ....... Path -3/28 and Micro 4/1. Also, Shiloh caught a Frisbee in the air!! I have been trying to get her to do this since she was born. She finally did, we are soo proud! She got a big treat. Back to pathology.
